After solving a problem with my scanner, I got back to working through my black and white archives this weekend. In between coughing fits, that is; I still have the cold that started more than a week ago. It’s getting a bit tedious.

Beach Rose with Fly
I thought it was time to bring back a little bit of color, after the nearly monochromatic paving stones. This was taken on a walking path above the beach in Rockport, MA, on a hazy spring day
Rocks and Foam
Another shot as the tide came in at the beach at Cape May.
Shells and Foam
From the beach at Cape May. The tide was coming in.
Back from Cape May
This is the lighthouse at Cape May Point. Cape May, NJ is a Victorian seaside resort town, about two hours from my parents’ house. We had beautiful weather: sunny and unseasonably warm. My family and I spent a few days at Cape May, relaxing (without internet access!), taking pictures and finishing up the Christmas shopping. So, to make up for being absent for a few days, I’ll post a few new photos today.
Starfish on Fence
Like the Fish on Fence photo I posted a while back, this was a painting on a fence at Wingaersheek Beach.
Coast Along Highway 1
A classic California coastal scene…
Footprint in the Sand
Lone White Rock
More on the beach theme, though I can’t recall where this one was taken.
Fish on Fence
This is a detail from a fence at Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester, MA. I used to live a short drive from this beach, and I loved to go there after work to see the sunset.
