I’ve got ochre on the brain, because I’ve been reading the fascinating book Color: A Natural Histroy of the Palette by Victoria Finlay. The first section was all about ochre, particularly as used by Aboriginal people in Australia. Curiously, jury duty has the pleasant unexpected side effect of giving me lots of time to read in the breaks.
