Travelogue: Italy

My husband Dan and I toured Italy for two weeks in April 2001, stopping in Milan, Cinque Terre, Rome, Siena, Venice, and Florence. It was my first trip to a place where I did not speak the language, and I was slightly terrified before we left. All fears were for naught; my three years of high school Latin served me well when reading signs, and everywhere we went people were willing to meet us halfway in communucation. This trip really boosted my traveling confidence, and paved the way for future trips.
