Italy 2001 Travelogue
These are some of the photos I took on my trip to Italy with Dan in April 2001. We did a sort of flying tour over two weeks, stopping in Milan, Cinque Terre, Rome, Siena, Venice, and Florence.

By the time we got to Florence, we were feeling a little bit visually overwhelmed by our time in Venice. As a result, I didn't take very many pictures here.
We spent some time at the Boboli Gardens, and saw the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Accademia. And, since Florence is famous for its leather, I was determined to get a leather jacket. It was easy to haggle my way into a great deal on one while we were on the way to the Uffizi. Next time, I'll try for the leather pants...
The food in Florence was a refreshing change from Venice. At last! something other than seafood! We ate dinner at one of Dan's favorite places, just around the corner from Santa Croce.
