I come from a family of makers. At any given time, I have more projects in the works than I can count, and my hands are nearly always busy with something. I've been fascinated with photography since I was about eight years old, and I've been knitting and making quilts for just about as long. I love to try new things, especially if they are tactile in some way. Recently, I've been learning to draw and paint watercolors. I also like to spin my own yarn, make felt, use my kilns for glass fusing and enameling, and dabble in collage, printmaking, and book arts.

My husband Dan and I love to cook, travel and photograph together. We've taken several memorable trips together: Thaland in 2008, our honeymoon to Spain and Portugal in the fall of 2002, and our trip to Italy the year before. We also had a couple of great short trips to New Orleans last year, and are looking forward to new adventures in Asia this spring.
